Entensa Update: Lost in Translation?
I’m working with a factory in Indonesia on some product samples. Let’s just say… it’s been a lesson in patience.
They haven’t messed up anything major—no crazy fabric substitutions or styles I didn’t ask for. But communication has been slow, and there have been more than a few moments where I’ve found myself wondering, how is this still unclear?
Right now, we’re in the final stretch, and I’m just hoping the logo ends up in the right place. We’ve sent diagrams, photos, instructions back and forth, you name it. And yet, there's still that part of me thinking, they’re gonna mess it up.

This isn’t unique to this factory. When you’re working across languages, cultures, and time zones, even when things seem obvious on your end, they can turn into confusion on theirs. And when we’re talking about orders that have a lot of zeros after the dollar sign, the stakes feel higher.
What I’m realizing (again) is this: communication isn’t just what you send—it’s how it’s received. Especially across language barriers, it takes more than clarity. It takes follow-up. Patience. And sometimes, repeating yourself three different ways just to be sure.
